La Société Honoraire de Français is a national organization whose aim is "to stimulate interest in the study of French, to promote high standards of scholarship, to reward scholastic achievements, to create enthusiasm for and an understanding of Francophone cultures, and to promote international friendship." French students who excel in French and meet the requirements of the honor society provide tutoring services in the Learning Center.
Membres de la Société Honoraire de Français
Members of the SHF must have earned at least an A- in every semester of French and maintain an 3.0 GPA. SHF members provide tutoring services in the Learning Center Tuesdays after school and Fridays before school. Additionally, junior members organize activities for National French Week and senior members will do a school board presentation in the fall. All SHF members must be active French Club participants. Upon completion, SHF members will graduate with French honors and earn bleu, blanc and rouge cords to wear during graduation.
